In order to keep up with what is going on in the educational community I read several blogs that fill me in on various issues. Teen prescription abuse has been a growing epidemic in schools for the last several years. It is very important to keep informed on what is going on with your child and their friends. Please keep in mind that Monroe County has resources that we use through the ISD. We also bring a counselor, John Basile, from the ISD to speak with our health classes regarding prescription drug abuse.
