Today our students heard Dennard Mitchell speak to them on setting goals and getting the most out of yourself. The students had a great time at the assembly and heard a great message. I saw alot of happy and enthusiastic faces from the students and teachers after the talk. Mr. Mitchell was also able to interact with the students between assemblies. Thank you PTSA for co-sponsoring this assembly for our kids.
I hope that everyone has a great spring break and enjoy the time with your family and friends.

Happy Professional Development Days!
BJHS Teachers were very busy while the students stayed home. We had teacher professional development all day on Thursday. Teachers were able to look at upcoming Common Core State Standards, the MEAP results from the fall, our own common assessments, and current classroom practices.
I was able to take a group of teachers to Fraser Middle School to look at their technology 1 to 1 program and see how they are implementing technology.
It was a great day and we got a lot of work done.

Welcome Future 6th Graders
Today I started my visits to the elementary schools. I will be meeting with all 5th graders to go over their scheduling options. It is a very exciting time and I am very lucky to see such great and enthusiastic students.
We will be having a 6th grade open house on Monday, 3/11/13. The event starts off at 6:45 in the gym. This is a time for students to participate in a scavenger hunt and see the building. We will also have spirit wear available. Our cafe will be open at 6:00 for a "Lunch for Dinner" at a cost of just $4.00. I will also be giving the same presentation that was given to the 5th graders for any interested parents.
During my 5th grade visits, I will be handing out this form for scheduling. Click here to see a copy.

I am looking forward to seeing many future broncos.
