Let's Dance

Yesterday was our PTSA Membership Dance.  The students had a great time and I got to lecture students on the pros and cons of hair bands.  Thank you to Mrs. McNutt and PTSA for organizing and thank you to Toby Sass and the YMCA for assisting.  Go Broncos!

Live Your Dreams

Today BJHS welcomed Anthony Ianni to our school.  Anthony is a graduate of Michigan State University.  Anthony shared his experiences as a young man dealing with his own autism, bullying, being a member of the Big Ten Championship Spartans' Basketball Team, and a college graduate.  Thank you Mr. Ianni and BJHS appreciates sharing your story that is both motivational and inspirational.  Today Anthony closed on his moto "Live Your Dreams", so I hope that our students will hear his message and live their dreams.

To find out more about Mr. Ianni, go to his website, http://relentlesstour.com/.

Here are some pictures from today.

Pennies and Chromebooks

Over the next few weeks I will be spotlighting some of the new staff to BJHS.  Welcome Megan Salenbien to BJHS.  Mrs. Salenbien is a new science teacher in the building.  Mrs. Salenbien comes to us from Michigan State University.    In the picture below Mrs. Salenbien is doing an experiment with data collection, water, and pennies.

Welcome to BJHS Mrs. Salenbien!

Today is also 6h grade chromebook distribution.  Our tech team  is going over chromebook basics with the students.  Mrs. Powell will also be stopping in the classes to give more advance instruction.

Happy first day back.  We had a great day back and the students are very excited.  We are currently working on sorting out lockers and all students should get a locker shortly. We are finishing distributing the 7th grade chromebooks this week and hopefully getting the 6th grade chromebooks out next week.  I would like to thank Mrs. McNutt and the PTA for all their help this week and at Bronco Round-Up.  Thank you to Mrs. Kraine for all of the nice work done outside to make the school look great.
