Thank you PTSA!

For a school to be successful it takes three components working together, the school, the students, and the parents.  I am very thankful for having a great PTSA here at BJHS.  Today they provided a wonderful lunch for our teachers.  Special thanks go out to outgoing president Jenn Scally, thank you very much for your leadership over the last couple of years.  I am also really excited to work with new president Tracie McNutt and am looking forward to her keeping a great tradition and legacy at BJHS.

Shakespeare in the Courtyard

Last night we had a wonderful performance of "Shakespeare in the Courtyard".  This was an extravaganza where students acted out various Shakespeare related and inspired skits.  The program also had a great student music component.  Great job to all of the students that participated and thank you to Mr. Glover and Mr. Thomas for the music, Mrs. Johnson for the pictures,  and to Dr. Robinson for all of the heavy lifting.

Mrs. Connolly is a very busy counselor at the JHS. One of her duties is to administer to the 8th graders the ACT Explore Test. This test is a national test that shows how student fair on a national level in Math, Science, and Reading. The test also has a post-high school career aptitude competent. Mrs. Connolly will be going over the results next week with the students.
Today, Mrs. Connolly organized speakers to present to the 8th graders on careers.  Students rotated through classrooms to see many different options. Thank you Mrs. Connolly for your hard work!
