Happy Friday!

We just had an awesome day at BJHS.  Out 8th grade recognition went great. The different activity meetings were well attended; students are very interested in getting involved.
The carnival was great!  Thank you Jen Scally and PTSA for doing such a good job setting up and running events.  BJHS is a better place because of the parent and student support.

8th Grade Recognition

On May 25, 2012, your son or daughter will be recognized for successfully completing the academic program of Bedford Junior High School.  The Eighth Grade Recognition Ceremony symbolizes our students’ readiness to proceed to the high school, and their preparedness to effectively use the social and academic skills gained over the last eight years of school.  Congratulations to you, BJHS parents, for always remaining proud of your son or daughter and the accomplishments that each has made, especially throughout this eighth grade year.  Your assistance in the education of your child has always been greatly appreciated.

May 25th will be a memorable day; one that will encourage each of our students to look forward to high school graduation in four short years.  The Recognition Ceremony procession into the gymnasium will begin at 830 a.m. Therefore, it would be a good idea for you to arrive and find a place in the bleachers by 8:00; the doors will open at 7:40 a.m.  Seating is limited; we are requesting that each family bring only two guests.  Please no current SHS students. The bus depot between the JHS & the SHS will be available for parking beginning at 7:30.

We would like students to dress up just a bit for this celebration; however, there is no need to overdress. An example might be a sundress with straps, and sandals or low heels for the girls. A collared shirt and dress shorts, jeans, or khaki’s would be suitable for the boys.  When choosing your outfit, please keep in mind the remainder of activities for the day listed below.

After the ceremony, students will have their normal lunch in the cafeteria. Then our students are going to have a “Get Active Assembly” in which students will hear about various opportunities that they will have at the senior high. Finally we will be closing the day with our end of the year outdoor carnival.

We are looking forward to having you with us for this memorable morning.   You and your children have been a joy throughout the middle school years.  Thank you for all that you have done for us and for your son or daughter while at Bedford Junior High School.
